A healthy neighborhood starts with a healthy family, and a healthy family starts here.
Established in 2006 by the Independent Health Foundation, Good for the Neighborhood is a free, community-based wellness program that brings health-related training and tools to areas where access to health care is limited. Individuals and families are encouraged to manage and improve their health by attending quarterly health fair style events and workshops. Good for the Neighborhood offers valuable health and wellness resources to participants where they live, work and play.
Hosting Good for the Neighborhood at your site will help raise awareness about health related issues in your community. This program connects people with a wide range of health professionals. These relationships will help to strengthen ties to community members and those who serve the community. Independent Health Foundation staff will work closely with you to help create programming that is meaningful and exciting.
